In any given round, you probably use your putter more than any other club in your bag. Of course, if you don’t get off the tee, or miss-hit your wedges, you tend to not score well. But a one putt: now that’s worth it’s weight in gold and makes up for the other errant shots. And we all know, that being a good putter will dramatically increase your chances of carding better scores.
With that said, it is really odd that, after all these years, there is not a single tried and true way to putt. So it all comes down to whatever works for you. In this video Aimee Cho demonstrates her technique for putting. I especially like her concept of using your core, instead of your shoulders, for consistent putting.
