Cafe Gourmand started out as a quaint little restaurant, serving breakfast and lunch, with a distinctly French flare. Since we are always on the look out for new places for lunch, that naturally led to our discovery of Cafe Gourmand and proprietors Bernadette, Mimi and Sammy.

Although they have great sandwiches, I really fell in love with the lunch crepes, especially The Complete and The Océane, two very different, but equally delicious crepes – please note these these are not the sweet desert crepes, which they of course also serve.

This season Cafe Gourmand took its first foray into fine dining with a charming French dinner menu, that is delightful. I highly recommend the Seared Foie Gras, so if it is on the menu that evening do not pass it up – one of the best I’ve had. Another of my favorites is the Duck l’Orange, it is crispy and delicious, and since I’m a duck purist, I always ask for the sauce on the side, so I can enjoy the true flavors of the duck.

So, If you find yourself in Naples Florida on a golf vacation, or live in the Naples area, stop by and enjoy a great meal. By the way Bernadette is working on something special for Bastille day. Dinner is served Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
